poor customer service and incompetence

Clicks Ballito Branch customer service leaves much to be desired.

I went into the store today to purchase a product which was on special, but 1 get 1 free. I only found one item available and no second item to "get free". Inquired with one stuff and was informed they are out of stock. I asked what my options were at that point another lady mentioned, they could only get my details and let me know when stock is available.

My understanding is, with these chain stores, you could check other stores in other areas for availability and if its there, they either deliver at the local store, or I can go and collect. The lady didnt seem to be helpful in this regard so I checked online myself. I asked for her just a few seconds later but she never showed up.

Decided to proceed at to the till and explained my predicament to the cashier and asked if other stores have availability. The cashier casually laid back in her chair and said " I don't know".

At this point I told them other stores are more helpful in such situations. All they have to do is call other stores and find out if they have availability and let me know. Only after I mentioned this did the first lady come out to take details and went back to check. Unfortunately for me, there was no stock. I said ok and walked out.....as I am walking out, these people mumble something and start laughing (at me).

I have heard of a little of people in the area stating they dont go to clicks and prefer dischem including my own husband yet I still gave them a benefit of a doubt but after today's experience of poor customer service and incompetence, I very much doubt I will ever set foot there!
