Nonsensical waste at Clicks

How ridiculous can it get!? I bought a small tube of cold sore cream at clicks. The tube is packaged in quite an oversized cardboard box. At the pharmacy counter this was put in a small plastic bag. Subsequently the plastic bag was placed in a metal basket. The metal basket was locked with a plastic zip tie. I take 5 steps to the till, there the ziptie is cut and I am given the plastic bag with my box containing the tube of cold sore cream. I remove the plastic bag, Remove the cardboard packaging put the small tube in my pocket, I pay and leave. Imagine the waste and pollution causes by the 5 second use of the ziptie and the plastic bag. What a nonsense.
