MY SISTER & I WERE VICTIMISED AT CLICKS SUNNYPARK.

So yesterday 14/08/2019 my sister & I walked in to Clicks @ Sunnypark mall with the intention to purchase hair-dye & a couple of toiletries. On arrival i had my denim jacket hanging on my arm & with the same hand I was carrying a small tub of Jabu Stone bee's wax together with my phone. So upon entrance we went straight to the aisle where the assortment of dyes are shelved & stood there checking for the particular colour (Spicy Auburn) that my sister wanted but unfortunately they didn't have it instore.????????♀️ So we decided to leave Clicks & go check it @ Checkers.....????????♀️ As we were about to exit the store some lady who's dark in complexion, who's of short posture ordered us to stop started asking a dozen questions regarding the small tub of Jabu Stone bee's wax I had in my hand- that's how I found out she's the security guard.????????♀️ I took the liberty to explain to her that I already had this item with me upon arrival as I was enroute to my hair appointment not far from the mall....& I even opened the bee's wax tub for her to see that it had already been used once & even said I really wouldn't mind having them verify it by rewinding their camera footage just so we can both be clear. But well I guess common sense is not so common these days because even after that she kept asking me more questions like- [a] WHY DIDN'T YOU SHOW ME WHEN YOU ENTERED? [b] DON'T YOU KNOW WE ALSO SELL IT IN HERE? So to answer the questions..... [a] When we entered the store there was no security guard minding the door or put simple- SHE WAS NOT THERE TO DO THE JOB SHE SUPPOSEDLY GETS PAID FOR! (& mind you I regularly shop @ this Clicks store & many other branches, but I've never known of them having a security guard @ the door, yesterday was the 1st time to learn of such. The other thing is with all my shopping visits there, I've never seen a parcel counter & I have always walked in to shop carrying my package/s from other shops just like everyone else & not had a single person say anything about the parcel counter!). [b] No, I didn't know they have it because I've never bought it from there. That security guard's mannerisms were uncouth, but after deliberations between me & her I thought we had resolved the issue as we were then allowed to exit the store with all we had walked in with. Being accused or suspected of shoplifting is so degrading especially if you're 100% innocent, but I just let it slide & walked out. About 10/15minutes later(after finding the hair-dye we were looking for @ Checkers),my sister & I returned to Clicks to buy the other things we initially wanted from there(toiletries).....so they currently have a special on Lentheric sprays on display as you enter the store (buy 3 for R36.99 or something like that) - I took 2 & started walking towards the aisle where the rest of the deodorants are shelved......then drama started to unfold! Yeah; DRAMA! That same security guard started giving the Clicks staff a heads-up about us as well as badmouthing us in her impromptu chitchat with the staff. All of a sudden, all eyes were on us, one of the merchandisers who was busy stocking products in the shelves about a metre from where we were kept gawking his eyes @ us. Then another Clicks staff member who had also been "alerted" about our presence, walked up to us & asked "THOSE 2 SPRAYS THAT YOU'RE CARRYING, DID YOU COME IN HERE WITH THEM OR WHAT?!" & I politely responded to him & told him I took them from the shelf up front near the entrance then the shrugged his shoulders & walked towards that lady- the security guard. At that same time some lady had walked up to us while we were still talking to this guy & she started taking pictures with her phone, like *** is going on here?!????????♀️ Then the guy who was packing the shelves came to give me a shopper's basket, then we were still set out to do what we had came to Clicks for- SHOPPING. Then we had people watching us from left, right & centre.....the security guard as well following us up every aisle as if we were *******.....can you imagine?! That really made our visit shopping uncomfortable.....WE WERE VICTIMISED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, all because of a mere security guard's assumptions! So my sister & I ended up cancelling the shopping we needed to do there & just went to pay for the 2 deodorants we had found on a special promotion. We were both ****ed off @ the treatment we had been dealt by the staff @ Clicks Sunnypark mall- I doubt if I'll ever shop there ever again. I've never been so humiliated like this in my wholelife - being accused or suspected of shoplifting, being reduced to that pathetic level in society!????????♀️ That was the worst experience..... The least they could've done was to check the footage & get the proof they needed.
