Misleading and false advertising!!
Misleading information...
Clicks advertised free immunization for babies. I phoned Clicks and they referred me to the customer service. I phoned Customer Service and spoke to a professional friendly consultant (Shanaaz) who confirmed that on a Thursday between 13:00 and 16:00 certain Clicks stores offered this service free of charge and was called the Helping Hand Clinic. She asked whether the baby was born in a State or Private Hospital. I told her State Hospital and she again confirmed that it will be free for a baby born in a State Hospital. She asked which Clicks would be closes to me and I suggested Northgate JHB. Northgate Clicks offers this service and the booking was confirmed. I received a sms confirming the booking together with date, time and Clicks store name. We arrived with baby at Northgate Clicks for our booking and was given the runaround. After a lengthy wait while the Nurse and the Pharmacist was trying to get information regarding this service, the Nurse and the Pharmacist told us that unfortunately they cannot assist us as they only offer this service to paying customers. They only offer free family planning service and can offer the baby immunization service free if they receive the shots from Government. We incurred cost to get to Northgate, we waited almost 10 days for this appointment and it was a great inconvenience! Why is Clicks offering this service as part of their CSI when their staff is not aware of this service? False and misleading advertising... Wanting to show the Country how much they care and wanting to make a difference, when in reality, it is just a marketing tool they using to get accolades for a service they cannot provide ! It is sad what is happening, anything for publicity!
