Loyalty Red Card

As a *loyal* LYB/Clicks rewards member, I received my annual Birthday Voucher via email. I emailed both The Body Shop and Clicks to enquire about possibly using the voucher online (for TBS products) at Clicks as I could not make it to a physical store 1 hour away this year. I received a short email from Clicks customer service consultant Shahiema Basardien to let me know that this would not be done. "Regrettably the voucher cannot be redeemed Online but can be used within the Clicks Store too, on The Body Shop products." This has been such a disappointing experience, and quite a missed opportunity for customer retention. Feels like being penalized for residing in a small town with no Clicks/Body Shop stores. Online shopping is the future of retail, but not if you can't utilize all the benefits.
