Life saving medication refused by arrogant temp pharmacist.
While having my sister visit me from KZN, she realized that her insulin pen that she brought with was empty. We decided to go to the clicks pharmacy and ask for an emergency pen just to ensure that she has her diabetes covered whilst in Johannesburg. To our surprise the locum pharmaceutical assistant at the Clicks Feather brook was unnecessarily rude. My sister then asked to speak to the Pharmacist on duty ( Anzelda). She then instructed the temp worker to issue the emergency supply of an insulin pen. Please bare in mind without that pen my sisters life would end. The assistant pharmacist was asked for her details ( Tiyiselani shobone) who then and I quote said to my sister “ now I will not issue this pen” knowing very well ( well I hope she knows) that without the insulin my sister could die. Now my question is.. the oath that this gross human being took, does this mean anything to her? Why is she allowed to work with medication that she clearly is completely incapable of working with. I have never in my life had to deal with that amount of disrespect and gross negligence. If Clicks does not ensure that Tiyiselani Shobone has her pharmaceutical authority revoked, I will not stop my own personal fight. Clicks Pharmacy should be doing more than just hiring. Screening potential temp workers, ensuring they represent their brand. Which this woman is destroying....
