Life Saving Intervention

Last week I was prescribed an antibiotics by a specialist and I took the prescription to Clicks in The Grove on Lynnwood Road Pretoria. While the person attending to me was busy drawing the items the young Pharmacist came to me and enquired if the Doctor knew that I was taking Prexum Plus for blood pressure. I said that as far as I knew he did and she informed me that a recent discovery indicated that taking the prescribed antibiotic together with my chronic medication could result in acute kidney failure and that I should check with him before taking it. By the time I call the Doctor Amelia (not sure of the spelling or if I have her name 100% correct) had already called the practice in question. The Doctor was busy with surgery the whole day so she got his cell phone number and left him a message. She later called me to say that she had spoken to the Doctor and he had prescribed a different antibiotic so I should bring the other one back and get the correct one. It goes without saying that she possibly saved me from serious complications and went above and beyond. An absolute star and an asset to Clicks and the world at large.
