Is honesty a dismissed policy at Clicks?

Is honesty dismissed as a Clicks policy?

On the 30th of December, I went to the Clicks at Blue Hills shopping center, Midrand and pleased to find that Revlon face cream was marked down (on sale).

Much to my happiness, I decided to grab another tub as I was unsure of when I'd get it that this price again, although it lasts me a while and I do not purchase it often.

I then moved the big red sale tag placed and over lapping the shelf in an attempt to reach for another tub. I looked at the original white price tag and to my utter shock the normal price was actually CHEAPER than the price on the red 'sale' tag and the so called 'sale' is actually a ploy to trick customers into thinking they're saving when they're in fact spending more on the same product. The opposite of sale?

I then took the product to the till and watched the cashier scan it. The 'sale' price appeared and I requested the original price which was lower than the sale price.

The cashier, Sibusiso adamantly said that "that's the scanned price" with no motion to assist me or rectify the matter. My son then had to walk to the shelf, fetch the price label and show it to Sibusiso who then called someone to assist with the blatant error. He did not even apologise for the inconvenience, error (his or not) or simply even acknowledge my existence. He was simply scanning items and collecting payment.

So Clicks, after being a customer for many years, is this the remuneration I receive? Is this the standard of professionalism of employees hired? Is this how extra profit is pocketed? By *****ing clients into thinking they're saving? It could be said that this is theft as money is being taken from our pockets under our noses and no notion is being made to rectify the matter as it is definitely not the first time it has happened and to be met with bad service on top of that is utterly disgusting.

If this is the way the Clicks brand would like to be tarnished then this is definitely the correct way to go about it.

Sibusiso, it is my advice to you to request proper formal training in the customer relations industry as it will not only benefit you, but the company at which you're employed at as well as their brand.

I'm disappointed in the matter and at Clicks as a brand. This is not a good note to end the year on nor start a new one.

Clicks, get your house in order!
