Incorrect pricing. Serious attitude problem. A short summary befitting Clicks KwaBhaca Mall
A very good day to you all Hellopeter.com members. I'd like to my experience at Clicks Kwa-Bhaca mall in Mt Frere. I visited the store yesterday for my arthritis treatment. On arrival I pressed on the self-medication tab and I was ticket 186. The queue was a bit long with 2 attendants. After some time, I decided to just pick ArthroChoice which is not behind the counter. When I got to the till points, still queue was that long. I spotted the Store manager and called her. I whispered about the level of service that they were offering...there only 2 tills operating at that time. Her response was surprising, I quote," there is nothing I can do. The cashiers reported sick and I have no backup. Even if you can call my superior, I'd be glad that they know that 'abantwana benu' are off". I couldn't go on with my conversation with her. She was a little upset. I also told her about someone who was trying to shoplift some tabs. As we were talking, she was called to assist cashier. It was at that point that I called her superior, I happened to have his number as I was calling, as a Priest, when the stored opened its doors for the first time. I narrated this to him, I also asked him if he wanted to speak with the manager and he politely agreed. I ran to give the manager my handset...owww! I wish I didn't. She said, " tell him I'm busy here and if he wants to speak to me, he should call me on my cellphone ". She said that twice, her manager was on the line and I believe he heard her. I was so disappointed! In a store fully packed to have that response from a leader. I had to act strong, joined the queue to pay for my tablets. At the toll point, the item scanned R244 but on the shelf R222. The cashier, after telling her I saw R222, she ran to the isle, not alerting me of where she was going. I followed her, she took the shelf-talker to the manager for a price override. Another time wasted!
Since this store opened, I've been their loyal customer. They all know me by my name. There has been problems I encountered but I never dropped any review thinking they'd improve.
In one occasion, I went there for my toiletries and the prices were all incorrect, the cashier got so upset when I told her of the prices I saw on the shelves in so much that I had to leave the store and the items. I was so hurt. I called one guy who is a management team told him about my ordeal, Sivuyile, he humbly apologized and requested me to come back but I didn't.
I humbly request that these kinds of attitudes be avoided. We were happy when this store opened. It saved us fuel of going to Mthatha and Kokstad. Last week, I bought a cosmetic purse, which was incorrectly priced.
Can these 2 be fixed? Pricing and attitude. We are from this town. People around here respect us. What image did the people who were in the queue got when the lady said Mr Mhlongo should call her on her cellphone...with that tone? Oh no! How, on a monthend, work with no staff? I've been in retail. Running a store means proper planning and to have plans in place for rainy days. A leader doesn't add to a problem but brings a solution. A leader wouldn't have told me to call their superior. A leader could've just politely apologized and later explain the cause of the problem. What kind of leaders are you nurturing? Proper customer care training is needed for Clicks KwaBhaca Mall...trust me.
