***********, from start to finish: Clicks Kloof Pharmacy
The Clicks pharmacy Kloof branch: Really ***********, from start to finish -
So every month I am supposed to receive an SMS that notifies to collect my script for X-medication (standard Clicks procedure). This month (October) I did not receive the SMS so I visited them on Monday, the 10th of October. The queue was exceptionally long (there were 3 qualified ladies running the pharmacy including the pharmacy manager), but eventually I got to the front. The medication that I am supposed to receive is OUT OF STOCK.
Wow Clicks Kloof, thank you for making me queue for 20 minutes just to tell me that there is not stock of what I am looking for and that I need to have my doctor change/update the script. They could not go to the EXTREME EFFORT of notifying me of this before hand so I wonder if I was supposed to magically just know that my medication is out of stock (seeing as I am actually not in the pharmaceutical space) or just forget about taking the medicine. Meh, I don't need it.
SO THEN I decided to get into contact with my doctor and ask for an updated script - I of course needed to queue a 2nd time because I wanted to ask the pharmacists what products are in stock of what I am looking for. THREE times the pharmacy manager (lol manager of all titles) screams "NO WE CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS TO YOU - YOU HAVE TO ASK THE DOCTOR". If perhaps she LISTENED to what I am asking, she would have been better able to answer me, instead of screaming like a banshee.
Okay cool, so I get my script from my doctor - queue for the 3rd time. (Also, the air-conditioning was not running, which is SO FUN in Durban heat and humidity). When I get to the front, their e-mail is not working (because you have to e-mail them the script so that they can print it) so of course they haven't received my updated script (which I have already emailed to them). So upon sharing this news with me, the pharmacist just blankly stares at me and obviously expected me to just leave it.
HELL NO - I had to ask her to take a picture of the script on my phone with her phone.
At this point, there were about 20+ people behind me in the queue, most of them not young and probably waiting for their chronic or other urgent medication. I am sure that they were treated to the same disgusting treatment that I received.
I will NEVER support another Clicks again - they have absolutely no idea of how to perform their duties efficiently, can't switch on an air-con, don't have access to modern day wi-fi and the pharmacy manager needs to rethink her choice of career, because she is terrible.
