I was forced to leave clicks without my insulin!!!!
Clicks Pretoria North has the most unprofessional and rude staff members I have ever came across with.. Treating clients like ****....
As a Type 1 diabetic, I made my trip to clicks like I do every month for years now, to collect my chronic medication (Insulin). I always call them to pre pack my medication. So that I dont have to stand and wat for christmas to come ( which I did anyway!!)
When I got there, like always I stand in line for about 20 min. When I finally got to the counter, I handed my 6 month script for my chronic meds, so I told her that she can add all the meds on the system but I will only need the meds I asked for when I called earlier to pre pack, it was obvious that my meds wasn't pre packed.
So the staff member told me "I will be back just now" I waited for 20 min while she was at the back doing who knows what? I got irritated and asked another staff member if she could please find out what is taking this long (clients was coming in and out) She just ignored me, by the 3rd time I bended over the counter and asked can someone please help me, I need to get back to work, as I was there during lunch time. Some older women came and said "stop making noise, we will be with you just now." So I asked her I need to understand what could possibly take this long? She explained, with a attitude, that the medication I asked for over the phone and on the script is not the same!!!!
As I tried to tell her that my meds had always be the same for the last year, I just dont want everything thats on the script, but only 3 items, she walked away and just said well its not the same. So I just decided that I will no longer stand there and be treated like that, I aked them to please give me back my script so that I can take it to a pharmacy who actually treats client like humens, My request was ignored, I requested to see the manager, once again I was ignored. I then walked to the front of the store and asked one of the staff members at the till to please get me the manager... Once again I was ignored, I walked back to the dispensary and asked again if someone can please give back my script so that I can get out of here... You wont believe it, but I was ignored again and laughed at by the staff members,, I was so mad and commented that this place is f****** useless... Believe it or not but I actually got a reaction to my comment, the older lady then said " what did you just say? Did you say Im a black *****?" And asked her colleagues to record the moment...
I was stunt, and couldn't believe what just happened... I then left the store without my insulin and prescription..
When I got in the car I immediately called the clicks head office in Cape Town. They took my statement and provided me with a complaint ref.
I was then contacted by the regional manager to apologize for the inconvenience and also added "what can we do just so we can put this to bed"
Now as a customer this was the last thing I expected from a manager.
I asked him that I need my scipt so that I can get my meds from another pharmacy, he promised me that he will have the script delivered to Mayville clicks that afternoon, as I refused to ever go back to North Park. When I arrived at Maryville branch, I was told that they only faxed a copy, which means that I was forced to purchase my insulin from clicks.
Only after a few days the original script was delivered.
I then called the manager to find out what happened to the complaint, and he told me that their HR is currently busy taking statements from the staff members and will let me know what has happened. One month later and I never received a call.
Im was a loyal customer of clicks for the last 15 years and I cant believe I was treated like this.
