I bought expired lozenges @clicks

Clicks Vangate mall showed me flames this time around after so many years of shopping there. So I went to buy some medication for myself, I picked up some lozenges the went to the pharmacy to get more and also pay using my medical aid. I went out and immediately opened a packet of Lozenges, took one and continued with my shopping. Later on when I was waiting for my ride as I was putting my stuff together I took out fhe Box of Lozenges that's then I realized no maan these has expired. I pushed my trolley towards the Clicks side without even checking the time guess what it was 26 minutes past 7 and the shop was closed. 😥. The reason why I went straight there my throat was very painful and I needed something to help me out and Lozenges onces helped me. Now what do I do, they are expired and I have already eaten one what if it cause more illness in me, I mean there's a reason why expired items are discarded. Okay I went home then called the next morning which is today the 07.02.2025. Firstly the lady immediately wanted to transfer me to the pharmacy before even hearing the reason for my call. If she's honest she can witness that cause I informed her. Second lady I spoke with said if the Expiry date is 02/2025 it actually refers to the last day of the month however they checked the remaining stock of Cepaol Lozenges and they have discarded them they apologize and that was it. Now if they are not harmful to heath why they were discarded? It means there is something wrong with them and they are no longer good for consumption, right?

I have already had one what if something happens to me? Cause I don't know what happens when you eat things that are outdated.

Now even my back is itchy, I think of the outdated lozenges I ate. I didn't check the Expiry date before taking the item I happened to do that after purchasing nalapho the trust I have cause I have been shopping with them for years and I've never have such experience.

Last words were you can bring back the lozenges so we can refund you. 🤔

I used bolt to go there and back home... That's money, so I must loose more money for their carelessness. I mean if the expired stuff were not dangerous they were going to be sold, right. In fact there wouldn't be any reason to have the Expiry date on items.
