Health and safety standard

I do not understand why clicks have these unsafe sharp metal strips attached to their cosmetic products ... this morning I was in a rush and took my maybeline mouse and that stupid thing *****ed my thumb so deep the pain was unbearable... it's happened to me more than once even at the store . Why are those things necessary? Why don't cashiers remove them after we have made the purchase ... it's unsafe you could get us infected with a whole lot of disgusting things. Please do somthing about it
