Generics are merely one option

Clicks Broadacres Shopping Center- I have a script for originator meds for my baby. I was told by the pharmacy assistant that she cannot dispense the originator and must give me a generic as this is a headoffice decision. I asked her what is the bio-equivalence of the generic and she could not answer. I asked for my script back as I will get the meds elsewhere. Generics are meant to be offered not forced. Clicks has their own house brand of generic drugs but there are three GPs in this centre that script originator drugs. Surely Clicks can stock the originator as well as generics like other pharmacies do? I will inform my GP that Clicks will not honour his script.
