*****ulant Medical Claim

On the 04th of February 2016 a ********** claim was processed by your Clicks Pharmacy in Soshanguve Crossing(Gauteng). The reason I say it was ********** was that I was in Hazyview (Mpumalanga) at the time (Jan – March) and I did not request/authorize such a claim and I was never in that specific Clicks nor the Clicks Pharmacy.

I received the information of this claim on the 08th of February 2016 and further contact my Medical Aid (Bankmed) on the 09th of February to lodge a complaint about this claim (The Agent I spoke to was Lauren Poggenpoel). The reason for my complaint was to inform them that I did not receive any medication from that Pharmacy and I requested an investigation be done. To my satisfaction the Bankmed/Discovery ***** division contacted me on the 11 February 2016 and I spoke to the a gentleman who I provided proof of where I was and that I had never stepped into the Pharmacy. He also confirmed that the pharmacist that dispensed the medication contacted Bankmed to request my medical aid details and this was also warring as I have my medical aid card. He further more contacted Clicks Pharmacy manager (Soshanguve Crossing) and we had a telecom to discuss that matter. When asked what form of identification was used to identify me as the member she also shared that is was not a practice for them to request means of identification (even if the person did not have their medical aid card). The ***** division then shared with us that the claim would be reversed and until Clicks could provide them with any form of identification or the receipt that I should have signed then this claim would not be paid.

On the 01 March 2016 the claim was reversed as they had not received any form of confirmation that I was the person that the pharmacist issued medication to.

To my surprise, on the 12 of September 2016 I received the attached (scanned) letter in the mail. On the 13 September 2016 at 10h30 I contacted Clicks Pharmacy on 0 ********** 30 and spoke to Cindy Swart who shared that they would have to investigate and get back to me within 48 hours. Unfortunately I have not received any feedback on this matter and have opted that this weekend I will escalate the matter further. It is not the amount that worries me so, but rather the principle that although I was not the person that did the claim nor received any meds from your pharmacy according to the letter I am expected to be the person to pay for this and there is no recourse after I have escalated this to Clicks.

Please note, that this weekend I will not only share this information with the media, but also be opening/filling a Police case of Medical ***** and Identity Theft against:

· Clicks Group Limited (as the holding company that committed this *****, and failed to implement processes to protect its customers)

· Clicks Pharmacy Soshanguve Crossings (as the pharmacy that committed this ***** and failed to ensure that staff do not take advantage of its customers)

· The unknown pharmacist (as the individual that committed this ***** and Identity theft, by calling my medical aid to obtain my details and pretending that I was there with them)
