Faulty New HairClip

I bought a hair clip on 24th of December 2024 and to my surprise when I wanted to use it the cover fell which to me was a factory fault at the clip didn't fall. I took it back and they told me that the clip is rusty which didn't make sense to me as I was not even aware of the rust they are referring to and so to say they will not refund me or replace the clip.
