EXPIRED INFANT FORMULA ON THEIR SHELVES
Good day Reader,
I bought S-26 infant formula at the Clicks Northmead store. Little did I know that the formula expired two months from the date of purchase. I unknowingly fed this to my three weeks old baby for two weeks.
As soon as I realized the formula expired, I immediately took my baby to a Pediatrician who advised there was no harm done, fortunately.
I then took it up with the Clicks Assistant Manager Thandekile who was helpful to a certain extent and then escalated the matter to the Area Manager Nepi Mo***eng. I have never come across such an unprofessional person; its even worse for the possession that she holds in the company. Nepi ignored my phone calls and emails. She had no decency to show compassion in the matter either.
My request was to get compensated for the Pediatrician fees because had it not been for Clicks’ negligence on their shelves. I wouldn’t have had to go to the Pediatrician to check if the expired formula had any harmful effects on my newborn.
I logged an official complaint with Clicks’ Customer Services Department. Their turnaround time is 48 hours, days later I am still waiting for a resolution.
This matter has been going on for almost two months now. How ridiculous is that?
I buy my toiletries, medication, cleaning detergents and baby essentials from Clicks. They have just lost a valuable customer.
I will be going on Consumer Protection Platforms and on Social Media to put Clicks on blast. I am not giving up without a fight!
