"Excellent" Customer service
My sister had purchased baby cereal in November 2021 which had expired in July 2021, and when she did want to use it in January she had discovered that the product had expired. We had went to the Pavilion branch on the 02-02-2022 the store manager tried to assist us however one of the black staff members got involved. Firstly who the hell is she to get involved, she is not part of management and she was giving us her attitude. Another colored lady had taken down our details and also told us that it;s our responsibility to ensure we don't buy expired products. I even have a screenshot and showed the manager at the store who completely ignored this. Are we shelf packers that we as customers must look at expiry dates for products? Clicks is avoiding the fact that they had sent us an expired product and then they are telling us that the policy is 3 months to return products however I have a screenshot from my phone showing me it's 6 months from purchase date. Then the manager said that we should have came to the store in December, at the time when Covid was approaching the 4th wave. Anyways she had taken the cereal with the order number and said that she will send it to the online department. We went to the store last week Wednesday and when we approached another manager he completely ignored us, after we made a purchase from the store then he asked us if we need any assistance. I don't think Clicks will ever raise this issue with the store as the store always gives us a cold shoulder treatment. My mum had phoned the online department now and spoke to a regional manager, again we received an the same treatment like we did from the store. Also the manager had told my mum maybe she doesn't know how to shop online as well. Is this how customers get treated from big regional managers. Clicks is making us as customers feel like we are victims for your negligence by sending us an expired product. Managers just say that we shouldn't make Covid as an excuse. Maybe they don't understand that we are still in a national state of disaster as much as cases have dropped. This whole incident may never get addressed however customers should see the experience from Clicks and hopefully they do the jobs that the shelf packers get paid to do
