Disappointed and angry @ Hammarsdale branch
Dear Clicks Customer Service, I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding an incident that occurred at your Hammarsdale branch on Sunday 26.04.26 at approximately 16:12. I was attending a ceremony in the area and unfortunately forgot my asthma inhaler. As my breathing became increasingly difficult, I went to the Clicks store in the mall, as it was the only available option nearby. Although the store appeared to be closed, there were staff members still inside. I approached one of the staff members and explained that it was a matter of urgency and that I was struggling to breathe due to asthma. Despite clearly communicating that this was a medical emergency, I was refused assistance. Other staff members were present, yet no one intervened or offered help. This experience was deeply distressing and could have had severe consequences. I was ultimately forced to travel all the way to Durban to access an inhaler. I believe that in situations involving potential loss of life, there should be room for human judgment and compassion, even outside of standard operating hours. As a loyal customer of Clicks, I am extremely disappointed by the lack of care and urgency shown by your team. This situation could happen to anyone, including the families of your staff members. I kindly request that this matter be investigated and addressed appropriately. I would also appreciate feedback on how Clicks plans to ensure that similar incidents are handled differently in the future, particularly in life-threatening situations. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your response.
Kind regards Nkululeko Blose *** ***
