Different Rules for Different Stores
There is inconsistency at the Clicks Shops. I went to Clicks in Randburg Sanlam centre today with my two year old who was eating a banana because she was HUNGRY. As I entered, the security guard stopped me and proceeded to ask me to ensure my child does not eat in the shop. Frustrated, I left the shop without exchanging words with the security as she was obviously instructed to ensure nobody eats in the shop by management or whoever. I then went to the Clicks in Ferndale on Republic. This time my child was chewing on a peach and we entered without incident. The security guard did not instruct me to ensure my child does not eat. He let us enter, I'm assuming because this is not a general rule of Clicks itself, but the rules of the other shop set by the shop manager.
I'm appalled at the fact that an employee of Clicks would rather watch a paying customer leave because her child is eating a banana, however, given the location of the Randburg Sanlam Centre store, I'm not surprised. Dischem has opened on Ferndale on Republic and I'll be taking my business there going forward.
