Didn't notify us of last repeat on script, now won't dispense but is their fault

Our regular Clicks is situated at Summerfields in Boskruin, Randburg. This is predominantly where we collect our medication.

Today we went to Clicks Summerfields and we were met with the last repeat was the last time (a month ago) and cannot dispense. We usually get the meds ahead of the week as I work long hours.

The medication I needed the most was sleeping tablets I use and I cannot sleep without them. What we didn't know or were made aware of is that the last collection a month ago was the last of the script. My wife who usually collects was not made aware she said that it was the last repeat and usually they also place a bright sticker on the box. My wife notified me that there was no "last script" sticker either. I asked if we had the boxes, however unfortunately the box was thrown away when we received / unpacked the meds.

To complicate matters, our doctor is away (overseas) until the 20th and specifically mentioned she would not be around or able to provide a script until the after the 20th.

So, I am left in the lurch with no meds and a week of no sleep.

Clicks, when I was at your store, myself and my wife were FURIOUS!

Should there be no solution or action, this will be reported to head office and then the Ombudsman. Guaranteed.

High time we consider Dischem or another provider...
