Customers not allowed to be friendly with staff

I had to collect my monthly medicine at Clicks today. I was in the Goodwood area, so just decided to get it at the N1 City branch, where I went for years until I moved to Bellville. I entered the store and the whole store layout had been changed, which was nice. I got to the pharmacy at the back, was helped by an Iranian gentleman. It was quite a few items that I needed, so some explanations were necessary. In the course of things I asked the gentleman where he was from, and he told me he was from Iran. I asked a question about Iran, but he seemed distant and like he was really concentrating, so I went to sit down. Later he went to the back, out of sight, and stayed there for about 25 minutes. My 11 year old daughter was waiting outside Clicks because she had our shopping trolley with her. The store was closing and she was getting worried. Eventually I asked whether it was still going to take long, only to be extremely rudely and aggressively told off by Mr Francois van Brakel about it being my fault that it was taking so long as I should not converse with pharmacists! I am truly shocked at having been treated this way. I have never seen a pharmacist behave like this!
