COMPLIANT ABOUT PHARMACY STAFF AND MANAGEMENT
Good day
I am totally disgusted by the level of service I received yesterday at Clicks Save ways pharmacy.
Upon approaching the pharmacy there was a guy in a white shirt wearing a clicks name badge I asked him where I could pick up my prescription he directed me to a queue. When I got to the front of the queue Jolene Du Plessis said she cannot assist me since I was in the wrong queue and continued to point at a queue I should have joined. When I explained that a staff member had directed me to the queue we were in a heated argument ,She was already yelling that I should not ask the security guard as he is not employed by clicks. She then called a another lady who was yelling ,flinging and pointing at me in the face, she said the same thing ,that I was to join the back of the correct .(I did not catch her name ) Eventually the manager Hani Swanepoel came through to yell at me about not being able to read as I should have used my common sense and read the signage instead of asking the security. As I tried to respond to her she said she is running late and going to pick up her son from school ,and I can stand there all I want I won’t receive assistance and welcome to stand there till 6 o’clock until the store closes. That is when they all stopped talking to me and Hani Swanepoel instructed Jolene Du Plessis to carry on assisting customers whilst I stood there.
What frustrates me the most is the manner in which the manager and staff members handled the situation, how was I supposed to know that a man in a white shirt with a clicks name badge is a security guard and not part of the staff? After standing in the queue for close to 20min I am “SHOUTED “ at to join another queue ,I doubt I would have been rebellious had I was told in a proper manner. As for being told to use common sense and read the signage ,that ticked of me off completed as both queues had the wording “prescriptions” hence I asked for assistance.
When one is standing in a pharmacy queue it is of assumption that you are sick and not feeling well, hence you are at the pharmacy to collect medication, I did not appreciate being yelled at. It is inhuman and degrading.
I am completely upset and annoyed by the way I was treated , there was no customer service at all ,the pharmacy treated me like they were doing me a favour as opposed to a customer.
I feel I deserve a face to face apology or at least a chance to explain my “lack of common sense “ because I couldn’t get a word in-between Hani Swanepoel the manager and Jolene Du Plessis A very disgusted –Andile Xaba ********** 816
