Compaint about customer service at Clicks clinic Beacon Bay, East London

Customer service manager Clicks Clinic Shop 26 Beacon Bay shopping centre Bonza Bay Road East London 5201

08/04/2020 To whom it may concern I am writing to complain of the very poor service I received from Clicks clinic Beacon Bay on 31 March 2020. The National department of Health sent out a media release on 28 March 2020 that advised healthcare workers to get the flu vaccine and stated that we would be given priority in receiving the vaccine. Therefore I phoned Clicks clinic on 29 March 2020 to make an appointment for me and two colleagues to receive the flu vaccine as we are healthcare workers. I made an appointment for 11:00 on 31 March at Clicks clinic Beacon Bay and I was assured that they had stock of the flu vaccine and that they would keep three vaccines out for us as I specifically stated we were healthcare workers. At our appointment however, we were told that they just gave out their last stock that morning and that we couldn’t be helped. We were then sent to the Clicks clinic in Oxford Street, East London, where we had to wait a further two hours in a que to be helped. Please note that there were absolutely no precautionary measures (e.g. 1 metre distance between customers) set in place at this Clicks. This is absolutely unacceptable as we did everything in our power to assure we made an appointment, specifically stated that we were healthcare workers, and asked to keep 3 vaccines for us. This was not our mistake but still we were sent to a Clicks in an area where the safety of three young girls is questionable, where there were no safety precautionary measures with social distance and where an appointment should have maybe taken 30 minutes, it took us two hours plus traveling time (valuable time taken out of our working schedules at the hospitals). My impression of the Clicks group has been tarnished as this is not the first incident of poor customer service I have received from them. I trust this is not the way Clicks wishes to conduct business with valued customers. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn how Clicks proposes to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I look forward to hearing from Clicks.
