Clicks safeway Frying Pan not having service centres or servicing engineers in South Africa
I purchased a Clicks Safeway frying pan two years ago from clicks, which is no longer under guarantee. The Frying I'm referring to is no longer working as we speak , I don't really know what the problem is, I then went and bought another plug for the frying pan and new plug is also not working. I then went to Clicks Alberton City to find out about the procedure, it was brought to my attention that there are no servicing centres around SA and since the pan is no longer under Guarantee is nothing that can be done. The guy then advised me to call the call centre to see if I get any help, which I did and they advised to go back to the store to ask were they usually take the Pans when such happens , I went to Bracken Hurst Clicks where I was also told about the "No Servicing Centres" around SA and there was nothing they could do. I than contacted the call centre again to let them know of this, and they logged a complains call. I indeed received a call back from a lady in complains, and she told me they could not help either since the pan is no longer under guarantee. Now my question is? why is a retail shop like Clicks selling products such Safeway knowing very well that Safeway products don't last ,and sell the pans for R400.00.So I'm suppose to spend R400.00 every two years on frying pan from clicks???I was willing to pay the service fee from my pocket to have the pan checked out??What is suppose to happen in such circumstances??I'm out of words? Or I'm just crazy?
