Yesterday 18 October 2016 I was at clicks in mandeni to buy S26 Gold 900g x2 R147.99 each, Destiny magazine R 30.99and glycerine pure soap R16.99. At the till I realised the price for the milk R159.99 and soap R21.99 was different from the one on the shelves. I asked the till operator about it and she said 'prices are changed every day in this store, maybe the price you saw are yesterday's', she was not even apologetic about it. I requested to speak to the manager whom I waited for quite sometime. While I was waiting at the till, most customers were complaining about the same. When the manager came he didn't greet me, he spoke to the till operator and left. I had to ask the till operator if that was the manager and she agreed. The manager came back and said 'there is no price for S26 Gold no3 but only for no1 so she has to buy it for the price you are giving her R159.99. The till operator turned to me and said 'the manager is saying the price you saw is for S26 Gold no1 not no3', I asked why the manager was not speaking to me not even greet me and apologise for their mistake and for keeping me waiting for such a long time. The manager said ' sisi I am not speaking to you, but to the till operator to pass the message to you. We argued about the 'not greeting' part but the manager was not willing to do so while i was the one who requested to speak to the store manager. I told him i was not happy about the way he is treating me, what kind of a manager not willing to speak to the customers when they request to speak to him? The manager made it clear there was no need for him to speak to me because the till operator is there to pass on the message to me. The manager said its either I buy the milk for the price they are telling me (that was not even on the item), I told him that the only price that was there was for no1 so I assumed it was for all the stages since there was no price next to no2 and no3. He said I must go buy at other shops. I told him i will take this matter further and he said 'you can do whatever you like' . He then told the till operator to call him if i want to leave the items so he can cancell the transaction. I asked for his name but he refused to tell me and left me at the till, I stood there for quite some time waiting to be assisted further. Again I asked the till operator what must I do she said 'you heard what the manager is saying its either you buy for these prices or you go to other shops. I asked for the till operators name she said she was Phumzile, when I asked for her managers name she also refused to tell me. All the staff was not wearing name tags. I wasted so much time at clicks, I was humiliated and disrespected. I always buy most of my kid's stuff at clicks in stanger and ballito but I have never been treated so bad. I am dissapointed at clicks mandeni, and its a new branch if the manager continues to be this rude I'm afraid customers will walk away. I ended up going to buy at shoprite and I will never ever buy at clicks.
