Brand new blood glucose monitor obsolete

I bought a Clicks Easy Max blood glucose monitor about a month back and I bought clicks testing strips & all worked fine. Yesterday I went to buy more testing strips and I was told they don't make them anymore. I went to 3 branches and looked online, nothing. So my brand new blood glucose monitor is now useless as it only works on Clicks branded testing strips. And Clicks are still selling this monitor even though you can't get strips for it, https://clicks.co.za/clicks_easy-max-blood-glucose-system/p/208464 It's nonsense that I now have to buy a new one, I should have been told it was about to be obsolete or it should have been taken off the shelves.
