bad service

went to change my.phillps iron due to it not working, the lady stated we will have to pay for the repairs , how can we pay for repairs if the product comes with a two year GUARANTEE and the iron is just over a year old and this is the second Phillips iron from last year till now , had no choice but to buy a cheap iron for now , it also states not the box 2 year guarantee ,
