Advertised Price vs Real Price

It would seem Clicks want to chase customers away so that they can close their stores and focus only on online. They have the most appalling marketing plan in order to do this. I needed to buy SBR Repair Cream which is a pricey item and Clicks was my go to store as there is a 3 for 2 special. However, the advertised price on the website is R283.99 (presumably because Dischem is R284.00) but as I needed to go to the store, I went to pick it up myself. On the shelf, the price is R327.99 (a fairly substantial difference) and I was told by a staff member that the advertised price only applies to online shopping. What would be REALLY nice is if the website bothered to tell you that or advised that they were planning on an online focus. I shall go to Dischem next time on principle, even if they don't have the 3 for 2 special.
