**** ****....
Clicks ran a promotion on a flat hair iron (Toni & Guy) and after visiting 3 stores (Phoenix, Gateway and Kensington Square) there was no stock available. I contacted a prominent, popular store and spoke to a manager and was told that the buyer didn't procure enough stock and she too had a problem getting stock from their distribution center as she was taking flack from customers about this promotion. When i wrote to their customer care personal, their response was very blaze` and she stated the dates of the promo and said that the promotion was only whilst stock lasts (this i already knew and was shopping within the promotion dates). I didn't agree with this response as it was confirmed by a manager that works for Clicks that the promotion run wasn't well organized and that Clicks wasn't well stocked. In my opinion i believe that a huge brand like Clicks was fooling customers to get them into their stores to spend otherwise. Surely that there is something here that goes against the consumer protection act.
Customers need to be made aware of the intentions of this brand so they can make a decision on where to shop and not trust false adverting.....It costs us time and money to travel to stores chasing a false promotion....
