NEVER USE CLICKS CLEANING
I have never ever been let down by a company as badly as Clicks Cleaning. Completely dishonorable. I had a couch and chairs cleaned by their Cape Town branch in November last year. Unfortunately bad water stains were left on the couch and some of the chairs. After alerting the owner the next day, he promised to come and check. Eventually came and did another clean. Same issue - terrible water marks. The owner, James Woods assured me that I must not worry as they were covered by insurance. Despite many conversations, they completely disregarded any future acknowledgement. I eventually tracked down their insurance company and she was equally non-commital. Followed up with the owner of the national company Joanne Jenkinson based in Joburg. She asked if she could send another team in to inspect and re-do the job. Agreed to this. This was now March. Same water marks appeared and worse in some cases. Joanne was very apologetic and assured me that they would cover the full cost of re-upholstering the furniture. Quote was supp**** and approved. I mistakenly agreed that they would pay the 50% deposit and settle on completion of the job. Full acknowledgement of the responsiblity, they paid the deposit. That was in April. I followed up and have received voice notes stating that the payment was approved and they would send a POP. To date no further payment has been received and when contacting Joanne she no longer takes me calls. Her new stance is that the previous manager (who has subsequently left the business and she has clearly had a fall out with) is now responsible and she is no longer taking responsibility, despite originally claiming that they would undertake to cover the cost of the re-upholstery. And I must chase up with legal. So now a trusted supplier of mine is out of pocket. Completely dishonorable and I feel completely cheated. How can people blatantly lie like this.

We were unaware of these issues until we bought the Franchise Right back from the previous Franchisee, for a number of reasons. We are committed to resolving this matter for you. We sincerely apologise for the experience you have had with this Servicing Branch, and we are doing everything in our power to quickly resolve this for you.
We sincerely apologise once again for any inconvenience this has caused and assure you that we are taking steps to prevent such incidents in the future. Our legal team will be in touch with you to help bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion for all Parties.

31 Oct 2024, 10:37This does not resolve the situation. The owner Joane Jenkinson personally assured me that she would resolve this issue. She initially sent another colleague who attempted to re-clean. Same result.
She then personally assured me that she would pay for the re-upholstery. She paid the deposit and I have a voice note confirming that the second payment had been authorised - she was on holiday and would chase up on the payment and send me the POP.
So my point is that CLICKS company Head Office took on the responsibility and gave me the personal assurance that they would recover the furniture. She personally stated that they would pay the supplier directly and would settle the deposit and on completion of the work she would settle. She even followed up to see if I was happy with the re-upholstery. She then completely went back on her word and has refused to pay the supplier the outstanding amount.
Just because she has had a fall out with the Cape Town branch manager, should not be my responsibility. I had her assurance that this matter would be resolved. Her promise to me was to pay for the re-upholstery to my couch and chairs.
