POOR WORKMANSHIP
POOR, NEGLIGENT WORKMANSHIP NO INVOICE NO FOLLOW-UP Having experienced problems with my DSTV dish signal, I phoned Samuel Mutsomira of Clearsite Installations - the company who installed the dish. I was told a terminal on the optical LNB had corroded. I asked how this was possible, as the dish had been installed just a year and nine months prior. I was told it was because the cover meant to protect the terminals had been left open by the installer. I was persuaded to pay R2 250 for a new HD Smart LNB, callout and labour. I phoned Samuel to complain. He said he would phone me back "after talking to the guys" and he undertook to email me the invoice for the work. Neither materialised. Upon inspection I could find no sign of corrosion on the original LNB. I suspect it was just the coaxial cable core or metallic sheilding layer that had corroded. My advice? Even if you have to pay marginally more, avoid employing these ***** people.
