Return of a dining set for an exchange

Having bought a dining room set for my wife's b-day and got home to present it to her, she was not happy with the choice I had made due to some scratches and cracks , so I found myself in a situation where I needed to go back and negotiate which I never thought it would be possible. I then arrived at the store to find myself being helped by a super friendly lady and professional by the name of Ellen heading a team of colleagues oozing Ubuntu energy.
