Failure to Delivery Purchased Goods

On the 30 August 2022, we purchased in cash, a set of couch and a coffee table from a Durban Branch of Clearance Warehouse. The couch was not on the floor and the sales person Pakiso, who attended us, advised us on the products and in overall provided good customer services and care, communicated to us that the couch and coffee table was going to be manufactured in their Midrand branch and would communicate with us once the goods have arrived at their Durban branch so that proper delivery arrangements will be done. The agreement was that the goods will be delivered between 18 to 25 working days from the date of purchase. This would have take the delivery date at least to 04 October 2022 and between that time frame Pakiso would be updating us, so that we can avail ourselves for the delivery. When we did not receive any communication from the store, we took an initiative and visited the store on day 20 of the delivery period estimate. on our arrival at the shop the couch and table were not on the shop, no one new where the delivery will take place, Pakiso never called to update us, no one seemed to even notice or even cared that we were following up, their attitude was pathetic to say the list and they started telling lies about the where about of the delivery truck, the gave us wrong dates for the truck to come, at one stage the truck was in Midrand with our stuff and we needed to wait for another week and the same truck that was on route Durban did not have our couch, and then Pakiso elevated the matter to his senior personnel (Luke), how was just not interested and and he too just told us lies and did not update us at all and will update us when he felt like and was very sarcastic in his deliberations with us. The service at Clearance Warehouse Durban is pathetic and I would not recommend anyone to buy with them, and they take the full amount of the goods, keep the money with them generate interest with it, don't communicate, don't show any customer care because they have the money, no regular updates. Luke's attitude towards us has been very arrogant on top of being sarcastic. based on all this we have decided to ask for a refund because, we don't have the goods, no communication, staff very arrogant, they have a lot of lies. Today we have just been told by Pakiso that the couch and table will arrive at the end of the month, this after all the empty promises they have subjected us to including to say the stuff in Midrand the one moment, its should be come in one of the three trucks coming to Durban the other moment lies, lies, lies. What makes it further unfair is that these guys have taken all the money and when I challenged Pakiso on the issue of at least the 50% deposit and 50% on arrival he told me that it is company policy, nothing wrong with the policy if you are confident and certain of your delivery promises but when you do business like this, it is very unfair to the customer in the sense that we don't have the furniture, we don't earn interest on the full amount but CW does. We are now in the process of claiming the refund, and as if they have not earned enough interest, now we must bring the card we used to purchase, submit the bank verification letter, which is fine, but now why do we have to wait for fourteen working days to received the money that they received immediately when we purchased, These guys are BAD and they are aware of that, because they tell you that they will take legal action if you make reviews against them on social media, what are they scared about?? ****s, because you are dishonest.
