*********** and dishonest Pool renovation

We have had a lot of work done over the years on our house with many contractors coming and going. Clear Pool Services run by Anzel and Deon Erasmus is by far the most *********** company I ever had the “privilege” to deal with.

Was quoted R25 250 to repair a crack in our pool, paint and redo paving around the pool. I paid them the 70% deposit ( R17600 ) and ended up paying for materials to attempt and speed up the process.

They got a random guy from the street to do the paving, not mixing properly and literally just putting the tiles loosely on top of almost dry mixed cement. The “grout” they did on some of the tiles was done with river sand (rough sand) + cement and no clean-up done on tiles. Hardened cement had to be cleaned from these tiles. All of these had to be redone at my expense.

The inside paint of the pool was done with almost no hardener and prep work that was carried out extremely shoddy. The crack that they where suppose to fix they painted over and said it’s an elastic sealing pain! I could still see straight through the crack!

When removing the previous coping they got a jackhammer and from the inside of the pool removed this – chipping most of the tiles on the inside of the pool. This was also promised to be replaced.

Twelve Days after they “finished” the paint (only doing the bottom and telling me they painted the whole pool) There was clear paint lines that shows the last coat only the bottom has been painted. Still none of the cement stains was sanded and all of this was merely painted over. Around this time, it rained – without the use of proper hardener I was able to peal the paint with my hands!

Needless to say, I got an actual professional out this time and its costing me additional R43000 to fix what clear pool services in Hartbee****rt did. Clear Pool services is coming with excuses of hospital expenses ect which has nothing to do with me and im unable to recover some of the money payed out of my pocket which amounts to R25417.

I am still seeking legal representation to take this unregistered company to court which at this time of year is a little bit hard to get the process going.
