Nothing Pro about CleanPro/Budget cleaners

I have never posted a I have been a client of CleanPro/Budget for eight years. In this time, I have left positive reviews and recommended them NUMEROUS times when people have asked about cleaning companies. This week, I regrettably book them for a post tenancy clean-up for which they sent 5 ladies and a supervisor. They took it upon themselves to throw away all the frozen goods in the freezer and full bottles of alcohol which, unbeknownst to me, were kept there by a relative - the total value which is over a R1000. They claim that it is procedure to throw everything away. However, they did ask my mum - who was right next door - about clothes in the cupboard which she's asked them to leave there, and which they did. Their argument now is that my mum should have told them to leave the food and alcohol. However, in all these years they have never removed anything, so there was no reason to think that we need to know that. In the scope of cleaning for the clean-up which they sent to me, there were no mention at all of anything that will be thrown away - I can surely not be expected to know what I am not told or asked about. They have offered to replace the alcohol, but two drawers of frozen meat are gone. They claim that the meat smelled off, but miraculously returned a bag of frozen prawns. I am pretty sure their very defensive comment here will imply that it is all my mum's fault. However, the arrangement was with me (as the owner, the person who requested the service, and who pays the bill) - yet still they thought it appropriate to ask about clothes, but not about frozen food and alcohol. I would not even dream about posting this complaint if it wasn't for their defensive attitude, and for throwing my mum under the bus. It is appalling. There is probably no good outcome or solution to this situation, but I do want to caution people that when things go wrong with CleanPro / Budget, you can expect to be treated like *******. There are NO loyalty. This whole drama could very easily have been avoided, and very easily rectified by returning the "thrown away" goods, or even just a very simply apology.
