**** Domestic Job

The co owner of the company Geraldine Potgiter invited me for an interview 24/11/20 at McDonald's Pretoria North.I got there and apparently she was there waiting for me.I asked if I can sit down then I introduced myself.She gave me a page to write down my address so she can see that I can write.It was a domestic worker interview by the way.She then explain to me about the company and regulations. The company has been operating for the past 15years.She told me that she has other 2 permanent ladies working for her well I was surprised that why only 2 ladies on the whole 15 years.Then I asked her how will we be working,she said for now we gonna work in houses as domestic workers but the office placements will be on Jan 2021.She then told me that we get paid R250 a day when we completed our training which we have to confirm later if we will be coming.And for training we get nothing she will only give us R90.00 for transport and its a favour she doesnt normally do that.At this point everyone needs a job and willing to take risks,I then told her that surely we will meet tomorrow for training.And we knock off at 15:00pm.Ok I went home and did a confirmation after few hours that I will see her the following day.She told me that we must meet at Onderstepoort Post office 6:45am.Went there the following day was the around 6:00 I just waited then at 7:00am the Toyota Hilux van came to pick us up was with the other lady,The guy came out of the car to introduce himself told us that his name is Alwyn he was with his son.Well he told us to do the changing at the back of his car as he was busy driving.Ive never experienced such a thing before,it was hard to change inside the van other cars passing could see everything. We went to Pretoria North to pick the other guy.Then went to Rietondale "To clean his first clients house,The house was so very big we were tired when we got out of that house because we were doing everything so fast as he told us that we got no time to waste we are moving to the second house,To cut the story short we cleaned 5 houses on Wednesday. On his last client he asked to see us,He asked how was the experience we rep**** by saying the experience was bad because we not use to it and we are very tired. It was already late he gave us R120.00 telling us we agreed on R90.00 but because its late he will offer R30 more.As we were in the van the guy told us that all the other ladies left there is no one working for them and they earn R180 a day not R250.Everything was very awkward. We were very tired and guess what he dropped us before Wonderboom Taxi Rank and told us we will walk because they still going far,He meant Onderstepoort.What I can say to everyone is that this people are **** and they use other people in order to get cash.Who has ever cleaned 5 houses a day and get R180 or R250.Please guys be careful of Geraldine and Alwyn Potgiter
