Worst experience with a vehicle repair service ever!!

<p>Our Mercedez Benz 350E was taken to James at Classic Motors in Hartenbos for one problem to be sorted. He sells himself to public as a Mercedez mechanic with experience working on specific Mercedes Benz. A trip to the workshop which was meant to take 2 days, took 5 months. He does not reply to one on any calls. His receptionist is his "voice". After eventually getting the vehicle back, there was another problem which was not experienced before we took the vehicle to Classic Motors. Once agani the vehicle was returned to James - he would have a look and get back to us - needless to say, the vehicle was in his workshop for days...... His charges are rediculous out of line. We were charged R600 for petrol for testing the vehicle after the petrol tank was near full when the vehicle was taken to the workshop. We received another rediculous bill which had to be paid as one leaves the workshop. We had the vehicle fo a week or two anda another problem arised. In stupidity the vehicle was taken back to James at Classic Motors beacause of the fact that he was the one who was liable. Now nearly a year later, we are still battling. We spent R40 000 altogether on work that was done by Classic Motors just to have a Merc which is now totally unreliable. The vehicle was now taken to another workshop in George where the mechanic made shocking discoveries. We handed him all the invoices for work we paid for at Classic Motors - none of the work was done. We were charged for oil change - no oil change was doene, we were charged for a time chain - one of which the pieces of a broken chain was foun in the engine, we were charged for a numerous lot of parts and services which was now, by inspection, not done at all. We are aware of 3 other customers only in Great Brak River who had similar experiences with Classic Motors and are willing to testify. Alltogehter, we are now still without our Mercedez, we are R40 000 in overdraft at our financial institution, we are facing another big amount for repair to an engine which was left in a worse condition than we took it to James at Classic Motors in Hartenbos. We would like to warn and protect other cutomers who might think that their vehicles are taken to a Mercedez Benz mechanic, just to be misled by lies, insufficient service and loss of great amounts of money.</p>
