Facebook **** artists

These people advertise on Facebook as auctioneers in Witbank who sell vehicles. My husband was interested in buying a vehicle and was told by the agent Patrick that he must pay an amount of money as a deposit to secure the vehicle. He paid the money and was told by Patrick that he may come the next day to view the vehicle. Patricks supervisor then called my husband saying that Patrick asked for the wrong amount the deposit was actually 50% of the selling price. It was at this point my husband realised it was a ****. We have reported them to the relevant banks and have tried getting the money back from Patrick who promised to refund the money in 14 days. However he does not respond to texts. Please help us.
