Empty promises and poor work ethic

I would strongly advise against using this company. Angelo Keur, the owner, installed a 32m perimeter fence for me, and I wish I’d seen a warning like this before hiring him. After paying the deposit, the work started a few days later, but in a very staggered manner – he would arrive as late as 4 pm and only work for about 2 to 3 hours each day. What should have been a week-long job stretched on for over a month. He also left unsupervised labourers on-site to install the posts, most of which were set incorrectly, at different heights and facing the wrong way.

When I raised concerns, he said he’d just "cut them straight." The issue with cutting is that it would expose the galvanized, epoxy-coated steel, leading to rust, which was a major concern since we live near the coast. We paid extra to have everything galvanized and epoxy-coated, as agreed with Angelo. Due to his mistakes, the regular tops couldn’t be used, so we opted for the same spikes on the posts as on the fence. Without informing us, Angelo used non-epoxy-coated spikes, and they started rusting within just 3 days of completion – right after we’d already paid the balance. Additionally, one of the panels is already warping.

We’ve reached out multiple times, and while he keeps promising to fix it, it’s been months with no action taken.
