CLE properties Charmian van Tonder
I paid a deposit of R15 000 to The Parks in Glen Marais Kempton Park on the 3rd of March. I phoned the estate agent Charmian van Tonder on 14 March and was told to send an email:
"From: Simone Whelan ********** Sent: 14 March 2018 09:01 AM To: Charmian van Tonder ********** Subject: Unit3 - Anton and Simone Whelan Rental application cancelled
Good day Charmian
With reference to our telephonic discussion, I wish to cancel the rental application and request a refund of the deposit paid on 02/03/2018 of the amount of R 15 000.
The reason for the cancellation of the rental application is due to separation in which case we will be seeking for separate residence.
The deposit must be refunded in the following account of which it was paid from namely Mrs Simone Venter"
I received another SMS on Thursday 22 March, stating that the estate agent (Charmian van Tonder) gave The Parks instruction to pay the deposit back to me.
"Simone. Ek het The Parks instruksie gegee om jou deposito uit te betaal. Cheryl is nie my klient nie. Sterkte vd toekoms!"
I still haven't received any feedback. I didnt sign or receive any contract and only paid the 2 months deposit to SECURE THE UNIT for occupation on the 1st of April.
Please advise what I should do next to receive my deposit back in full.

As per correspondence sent we are awaiting the landlord to refund you with the deposit amount. Unfortunately we are not in possession of this deposit. We have however been following up on the matter to try and speed up the refund.
