Do not support this business..

I am saddened by how unprofessional the owner of this small business handles situations. I stopped going to Chantelee for my lashes, as the quality of her work deteriorated month after month. I stopped going to her due to the damage of my own lashes by her products and technique. I was referred by a friend to a lash artist that specializes in lash rehabilitation (Lux Lashes) Photos of the condition of my lashes are pinned on her Instagram page. I did not make a scene or ask for my money back, I merely walked away from her business in silence. A close friend of mine, who did not experience the damage to her lashes as I did at first, stayed with Chantelee. I decided to buy her a lash voucher from Chantelee for her wedding that is upcoming in October 2023. Chantelee apparently made an exception for me, as her terms and conditions states that a voucher expires after 3 months and is non refundable. This is apparently on her website, but was not disclosed to me at all. I paid R1 000 over to Chantelee for the voucher and the voucher was given to my friend upon her next appointment. Unfortunately, the same happened to my friend. With every lash appointment, her original lashes deteriorated. She however did not give up and tried to educate Chantelee with photos and research online. Unfortunately, nothing helped. She eventually made the decision to cancel all appointments and search for a new lash artists. Photos of her lashes are uploaded onto the business's Google my business profile. (These photos were taken immediately after the appointments) The voucher was never used as she paid for all her appointments herself. After numerous messages to the owner (from my friend) requesting my money back for the voucher, I was handed over to her "legal advisors" requesting that I speak to them an not to her an that the voucher will not be refunded. This shows me how ********* she is as a lash artist and as an owner of a business. I will advise every person reading this comment to not support this business. There are so many other lash artists that are passionate about customer service and providing quality work that need support. Livid is an understatement!
