Unhappy customer - KZN Civils (Shauna Gouws)

I put in an application on a legit and professional website called BARK on the 7th Nov '24, for someone to renovate my mums bathroom in KZN Chatsworth, Shauna Gouws from KZN Civils was the first person to respond. He called me on my cell and asked about the scope of work required, he agreed it was everything he could do and would send me a quote.The total for the renovation was R 16 350.00, Shauna and I negotiated on WhatsApp that he would receive a 50% deposit the day he started, 25% when he was halfway complete and 25% on completion, I ended up paying him more than 50% (R10 100.00) deposit the day he started and another R4850 for materials he needed to buy. Once the money was in his bank he blocked me and refused to take my calls or whatapp messages. Please do not use this company for any work as they will take your money and disappear. I dont think this is a legit company at all.
