Bus ticket **** show

The experience was amazing. It is a great way to see the best parts of Cape Town. The bus was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The overall staff and friendliness and service was alright. We did have some grumpy and unhelpful staff which wasn’t pleasant.. However, I have a huge problem with their policy about their ticketing system. The tickets for the topless bus and overall experience are quite expensive (R225 per ticket). I booked and paid online, so proof of payment and tickets were electronic. However, one of my family members LOST their printed ticket whilst being on a bus with no roof - and being Cape Town, the wind does not hold back - upon discovering this, we told the nearest staff member on duty, who would not let him back on the bus to continue the tour. We were stranded in camps bay without any car for a few hours before decided to all go back and not continue the tour. This was unacceptable. We begged and pleaded for him to be let on, and when eventually was, he was told he had to go back to the original stop and not get off for the rest of the ride. I, whilst being in camps bay, went to the nearest kiosk and ask for assistance and help with this. I was told that it was company policy to print a single piece of paper from a till, and that was the ONLY ticket allowed, regardless of the online payment and tickets I had on my phone. This absurd rule of not being allowed to reprint a lost ticket is absolute nonsense. It is disgraceful and nasty to say the least. What do we, as tourists do when a small mistake like this happens? It is not fair. The only alternative was to buy another ticket, which was not budgeted for. I enjoyed the experience overall, but this put a huge dampener on it, and I would be reluctant to recommend them with the pathetic and disgraceful service and policies like this. They need to be more accommodating and helpful to the people that support them.
