Another bad transition with Citylane Auto Sales
Citylane Auto Sales, I contacted Patrick at the dealership regarding a Toyota Tazz, which was on sale for R19000 and my question to him was what do I do to reserve the car.
"His reply to me was pay 50% deposit and I will reserve the car for you."
Thinking this and on more than 5 times I explained to him that I went through a very bad situation the previous time and that it took 6 months to get my money back. He assured me that the car would be reserved for me, I even have what's app's to prove my point. At 16:45 closer to 17:00 he confirmed the invoice was sent through to my what's app, that I have prove of to. I was very excited about it that finally things are going my way. I was without a vehicle for a long time due to personal reasons. I then went and made payments of R9500.00 to Citylane Auto Sales in which was the requirement from the sales person Patrick, and I was happy up to then.
At about 17:10 I received another call from an unknown phone number, answering the call I find out that it's Jason Mathebule manager of Citylane Auto Sales I was thinking oh my goodness what good service the manager is calling me to say all is well and thanks for doing business with you. So I was proven wrong again the news was that the car had to be paid for in full.
There I am sitting in awe, dumbstruck wondering what the hell have I gotten myself into. Listening to Jason saying that I have to pay the outstanding amount for the Toyota Tazz, I then told him about our arrangement that we, me and Patrick had for a 50% holding fee and that this was not on. I then tried to explain myself to Jason that was the deal we had, he then said "maybe you don't understand what I am saying ", my reply to this was we had a arrangements. His response to this was he just got back from a meeting where the bank wants full payment for the car. Understanding, yes but the sales person Patrick said that he was working at the company for a number of years then should have known that, that's the way it works.
Am I wrong to say that?
No.
Now I am really and utterly disappointed with everything, thinking that this is a ****. What kind of dealership is this. Beware of them and also don't pay deposits to them.
Disappointed and disgusted then said pay my money back. What a disappointment!
I then sent Patrick another message saying that his manager just called and said that this and that was the problem. His response to this was he didn't know and I then called him to ask about this his reaction was so surprising oh he did not know.
Hopefully you as well don't fall into this trap!
Now I have to wait for them to pay my money back.
I just wanted to inform you about this company! Beware of them.
Another hard lesson learned. If you want proof, I have proof.
