Unprofessional Service and Incomplete Repairs
I recently had an unsatisfactory experience with City Site Projects and Russell. While he mentioned having significant experience, the quality of the work fell short of my expectations.
Initially, I was asked for a 70% deposit upfront, but I paid the total quoted amount in full. However, when additional work was needed for a damp seal, Russell insisted on more money, despite me having already paid the complete quoted amount. The 30% balance between the deposit and the total amount was more than enough to cover the damp seal.
The repairs included addressing a blocked shower, which is now unclogged, but the pipe remains loose and seems to be held together with an adhesive. In my room, a replaced ceiling panel was awkwardly patched and doesn’t match the rest. Additionally, my personal ladder was used during the repairs, and it was returned in a bent condition, affecting its stability.
Russell also promised to fix my cupboard, but it remains hanging open. I had approved a specific kitchen tap design sent to me before installation, but a different tap was installed. Russell explained that this change was intended to save costs, even though I had already paid the quoted amount.
Throughout the process, communication was a challenge. Jolene also tends to communicate in a rude and unprofessional manner. Additionally, there were arguments between Russell and Jolene on-site, which I found unprofessional and uncomfortable.
Currently, there’s still a leak in the kitchen, causing a musty smell, and I’m left with many unresolved issues. I hope this feedback is helpful for others considering City Site Projects and can provide constructive insight into my experience.
