I had the unfortunate experience of dealing for Jolene and Russel from City Site Projects in February 2025. Having asked around for a company to move my furniture from one house to another house a couple of kilos away, it all started going downhill. Little did I know that they actually make use of third-party companies to do their work for them. I was asked to detail the furniture we would be moving and did so. On the day of the move everything did not fit in the truck they hired and the first excuse was that the furniture was bulky. Never was I once asked for pictures, measurements or anything. I was then told that some guy with a bakkie and trailer would also assist with the move and that it would be an additional amount of R1800.00 to do so. Well, the bakkie and trailer never arrived and instead I ended up paying R6050.00 to move my furniture 10km's.

Knocking off from work I had to stop at the old house with some friends to collect the remaining stuff, I got to the new place and the *********** third-party they used could not even manage to get our lounge suite through the door. I then had to do that too. Having a sour taste in my mouth after all this I requested a refund of the additional R1800.00 I paid for a bakkie and trailer that never arrived.

After constant follow-ups and finally speaking to Russell an agreement was made that my money would be refunded. Then the excuses started. At the end of March I was not refunded, after constantly following up with Jolene and Russel, Russeell also had the audacity of being rude to me on the phone and constantly tried talking over me - true signs of an ********* businessman. It is now the end of May and I am being ignored as well as haven't received a cent of my refund.

I doubt I will get a refund by posting this but I just want to warn other of the ********* way of business Jolene and Russell run and how they treat others.

I have opened cases againts them and their business and will let the law take its course. How long that may ever take but the wheel will turn.

So the next time you consider using City Site Projects to move your furniture, well, I would advise rather putting it on your back and carrying it barefoot to your new house.
