MEDIA 24 CONNED ME OF MY HARD EARNED CASH

I have subscribed to City Press for a period of more than 9 years and out of the blue the company did not deliver the newspaper. I called and cancelled the subscription in or at around 2018. My notify me was set at R1000 and thus did not see that I was debited with plus minus R73,00 every month since I Have cancelled my subscription.

From last month my eye caught something that became an eyesore which was R73.00 that Media 24 was deducting from my account since I have cancelled their service due to the disservice I experienced. When confronting MEDIA 24 on 2nd December 2019 , I spoke to one of the Customer Disservice Consultants called Mr Julian Meyer. Throughout the call that lasted more than 20 mins the Client Disservice Consultant tried to interrogate me to remember the name of the person that I spoke to a year or more back or to remember a date when I have called and cancelled the subscription. The more I indicated to the Disservice Consultants that the first call to establish the credibility of my story was to call the person who deliver newspaper in my area, the more I was lectured about the process of retrieving a call which could have easily been made a year ago before he can promise me a refund.

I must also mention that it was an effort to get Mr Meyer 's surname as the more I asked his surname the more he tried to hide it. As a responsible citizen of South Africa the conversation and the ********* practice of Times Media left a bitter taste in my mouth and to think that I could have donated the R73.00 to a worthy cause and not give it to a media House as big as MEDIA 24 which has not contributed anything to me or to anyone one I know makes the experience more unpalatable.

Mr Meyer has promised to come back to me after he has consulted the person responsible for delivery in my Area within a short period and to come back to me within a week after having investigated whether I have made a call or not. Should trust Him or Trust my Afrikaans teacher "Lieg soos n Koerant"
