turned away
My flight from Richards bay was delayed and I missed my connecting flight to cape town. I went to SAexpress office and they booked me on a new flight and booked me a night at city lodge. Each of the people on the flight were given there own hotel voucher with names of the people on the delayed flight.

I went to check in only to be told that I had to share double room with a compete stranger because he was also on the flight. And that was it. .. regardless to the fact that we were each given oour own voucher I was expected to share a bed with someone I have never met.

When asked lindiwe said that we were likely to be lying about the fact that we never met and I if I didn't share with this man there was nothing she was going to do about it.

She said I was my fault for not reading my hotel voucher (which said I had a room for the night). I was left without any place to stay. Given that saa and city lodge do business every day this matter could have been solved. .. Instead i was accused of lying and left with no where to sleep. What wonderful service. ..!
Please note that while we are very sorry that your overnight stay with us did not work out as it should have, the fault was not the hotel's as SA Express supp**** the voucher for the room. The voucher was for two people sharing a room. We have been in touch with the airline to advise them about their mistake. Unfortunately, our hotel was full that night, so we would not have been able to provide you with your own room. We understand that the GM of the hotel has been in touch with you regarding this situation. We also understand that you gave up your entitlement to the room to the other person listed to stay in the room. This was a very thoughtful thing to do - especially as the other guest was a foreigner - we certainly salute you for that. Once again, please accept our apologies for your unfortunate experience.
