No refund or postponement for cancellation

We recently booked at City Lodge Pinelands--room 1 for 2 nights and room 2 for 7 nights. Booking done through Agoda. Unfortunately booking had to be cancelled barely more then 1 day later. We requested a refund-Agoda was happy to refund us City Lodge agreed, But city lodge only refunded the room for the 2 day stay. The room for the 7 day stay they refused. We asked for a postponement to later in the year and even this they refused. Our cancellation was requested 4 days before our arrival. Such a large company ****ming people is a disgrace. I am awaiting a response from the head office as well
